Boer Goats
Boer goats were produced from the selective breeding of the Boer
farmers in South Africa over a 50-100 year period.
Boer goats are grazers and are renowned for their ability to increase
their weight mass on normal forage and do not normally require dietary
supplements. They are a high muscle animal, quite large (approx.130kg)
and due to their size they are renowned for being a high meat producing
animal.
Boer goats are extremely fertile breeders with many multiple births,
and the young are easy to wean. Boer goats can breed 3 times
in a two year period, giving an average of 4-5 kids per 2 years per
mature doe.
We are currently producing goats to be exported internationally to be
bred with traditional flocks to increase meat production and
productivity of the animals.
